In Asfordby, Leicestershire, England on April 2, 2009, local police found a human head dumped by an unidentified killer. A few weeks earlier, on 22 March, Hertfordshire police found other body parts including arms and legs. After some research, the officers in charge of the case stated that in fact the head had been forensically linked through DNA testing to the other body parts found. The cause of death has yet to be determined and police are still following up leads and searching for new evidence in relation to the crime. After careful examination, the police have identified the victim as a white or asian adult male, between 5ft6” to 5ft10” in height. His shoe size is known to be between a 7 and a 9, and he also suffered from eczema, a skin condition, which caused scaling, and discoloration in the pigmentation of the skin around the ankle. Due to the geographical distance between the body parts, the operation is jointly headed by both the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit (MCU) and officers from Leicestershire Constabulary. A full DNA test came up with no matches from the missing persons list or the National DNA Database, however, it is believed that with the help of modern DNA tests, the case will soon be solved. easyDNA specialize in the provision of reliable, accurate and confidential DNA tests.
